After the devastating Bundjalung floods in 2022, Moving Image Media produced a documentary focused on the community-led efforts to rebuild in the wake of the disaster.
Directed by Karenza Ebejer and Mitch King, the three of us collaborated across numerous calls to shape the project’s artistic direction.
This project drew heavily on my research practice, connecting Names, Totems and landscapes with their original mobs to ensure cultural accuracy and integrity.
In 2022, the DCJ NGO Flood Support Project supported 81 non-government organisations across the Northern Rivers with $2.1 million in funding.
This documentary highlights a selection of organisations providing critical services to the community during recovery efforts.
